WE SUPPORT TEACHERS!
Black Teachers Meet (BTM) is a space for black educators to congregate and support one another on their journey through the education system. Studies have shown that black teachers play a crucial role in the lives of ALL students, especially students of color from marginalized communities. Their mere presence in the classroom has the potential to change the trajectory of their students’ lives.
Unfortunately, this large role can be daunting to many black educators and oftentimes leaves them feeling depleted. At Black Teachers Meet, our aim is to alleviate challenges so that we can keep committed educators in the classroom. We intend to create a community that is safe, familiar and loving so that black teachers can thrive for their students and in their personal lives.
Our inaugural BTM gathering was nothing short of AMAZING! This first group was small, yet hugely inspiring and uplifting. The conversations were deeply profound and intimate, which allowed for deeper & authentic connection. We broke bread together, connected through shared experiences, and initiated a community of black educators who I have no doubt will be change makers in the field. I look forward to what’s to come as we continue to build community through support, wellness, & meaningful relationships.
A sincere THANK YOU to those who made it out, especially considering that the weather was particularly terrible that day.. We couldn't be more grateful for the connection that was established amongst us and we look forward to building with you all.

Our team of experienced professionals is here to help you every step of the way.We understand the importance of a quality education, and at Strickland Educational Services, we are dedicated to making sure that everyone has access to the resources and support they need to succeed.
OUR TEAM
MENTORSHIP
Through BTM we offer mentorship for new teachers. Participating teachers will be paired with a veteran teacher who will offer guidance and support throughout the year.
Mentor Requirements
Mentee Requirements

Must have at least 5 years of teaching experience

Space to exist with like-minded educators
Members will be required to contribute a monthly fee of $15. The proceeds will go towards the BTM Educators Pot. Each month, a member will be randomly selected and will be given funds from the pot to contribute to teacher-related expenses.
Becoming a member of Black Teachers Meet comes with community, connection and the opportunity to expand in your role as educator so that you can feel empowered to take on this monumental task.
